Visitors to the Leader Wedding Fair this year will have the opportunity to check out a wide range of bridal gowns, courtesy of several local wedding services.
The video was shot on January 13 at Festus’ Bridal Shoppe where the models sported wedding dresses and other gowns, and the footage will be edited into a virtual fashion show for the fair, scheduled from 11:00 to 15:00 on Sunday. February 6, at the Quality Inn, 1200 W. Gannon Drive, in Festus.
“There were a lot of trends emerging for wedding dresses,” said Andrea Chambers, Leader sales. “There were about a dozen different styles, from slender to bigger.
“This was the most exciting part for me: seeing so many different body types represented in such flattering ways.”
The video will be looped throughout the fair so people can watch it at their leisure.
Festus’ Vivian James Salon provided hair and makeup for the shoot, and Festus videographer Allie Kister stepped in kindly after scheduled videographer Brianna Rose Photography at Festus faced a last-minute COVID-19 crisis.
Festus ‘Teal Dontrich, Festus’ Katy Lewis, and Pevely’s Khrista Young served as models.
Admission to the wedding fair will cost $ 3 per person upfront and $ 5 at the gate, with the proceeds going to Life on 2 Wheels, a local charity that provides bicycles to schools in hopes of encouraging kids to ride.
Wedding-related businesses, which represent everything from photos, sweets and food, to jewelry and travel, will have stands at the fair. Additional services such as financial institutions, home furnishing businesses, insurance and healthcare will also be represented. Most vendors will offer participation rewards and giveaways, and many will have special offers and discount packages available exclusively to trade show attendees.
The 100 brides at the door will receive a special gift package.
A limited number of booth seats are still available for the fair. Call The Leader at 636-931-7560 for pricing and requirements.
