X Factor’s Rebecca Ferguson has announced her engagement to partner Jonny Hughes, saying “dreams can come true”.
The 35-year-old singer shared the news on Instagram along with several photos of the couple, calling it “the love of my life”.
Rebecca captioned the photos: “I am so ‘happy’ to announce that I am engaged to the love of my life. Dreams can come true. “
His friends and family took to Instagram to congratulate the singer, with Island of love star Olivia Bowen writes, “Congratulations angel!”

Lizzie Cundy added: “Wow !!! Huge congratulations my dear !! So exciting.”
Fellow X Factor star Rowetta commented, “Congratulations. Great news.”
Meanwhile, another friend wrote: “Happy tears !! Couldn’t happen to a prettier Super woman !! Congratulations to you and Johnny !! (She did well).”
The couple have been together for about seven years.
On Twitter, the star added: “Life has finally turned out well for me. I’m so thankful, I’ve been through so much, I’m so happy I’ve found love and I’m excited for the next chapter.”
Rebecca is a mom of three children: Lillie May and Karl from her relationship with ex-Karl Dures and a daughter Arabella from a later relationship.
The happy news comes after Rebecca opens up about her struggle to trust men after a previous breakup.
Rebecca shared how she went through her third pregnancy on her own after her ex broke up with her five months into the relationship.
She told Closer magazine in 2016: “It broke my faith in men. I can’t go out with someone.”
“I haven’t been out in years. I’m a romantic and I still believe in love but, at the same time, I keep disappointing myself.”
Rebecca, who first found fame on The X Factor in 2010, had previously been linked to Zayn Malik in 2011, but later called their romance a “mistake.”
