Barbara Walters is a friend and before she fell ill she was deeply concerned about the show she created. That would be The View. What began as a gabfest designed for American women across the board has grown into a far-left hate festival. Once she left the program, Ms. Walters lost control of its content.
Now, The View has a hard time finding a conservative expert to sit next to the four liberal women. Former program speakers have openly stated that unless you follow a liberal line, you are not treated well both on and off the air.
Nobody is shocked.
What surprises me is that the Disney Corporation allows the show to be so one-sided? Why do this? There should be one independent, two traditional and two left-wing. This would open the program to a wider audience.
There is ample evidence that Disney does not do this because it is a “progressive” company that embraces “awakened” values. That is until you get to the Disney theme parks. No diversity of audience there. Every family pays incredibly high prices. No money, no Mickey Mouse.
Perhaps Joy Behar can start a fund to help poor children go to Disney World. This would give Ms. Joy something to do besides hating people who disagree with her.
The view from here is that it never will. Disney certainly wouldn’t approve.
