Security is one of the top spot groups with several unsigned players yet on the scoreboard entering the February signing period. Louisiana five-star safety Jacoby Mathews tops the chart that includes eight of the nation’s 30 best players in the unsigned position, though many are still busy elsewhere.

Overall player no. 28 of the nation and LSU’s one-time pledge did not sign upfront. Mathews is a major target for LSU’s new staff and first-year coach of the Tigers Brian Kelly.
