In the United States, anti-vaccinists are on the ground. Despite President Biden’s promise to get more than 70 percent of the adult population to accept Covid injections, compliance remains in the 61 percent range. Millions of people are vulnerable to the virus and its spread.
The progressive movement is firmly behind forcing people to get vaccinated. The US Constitution does not allow this unless Congress passes a new law, but the left is lobbying local governments to isolate the unvaccinated from commerce.
And it’s worse in Europe. As of February, it appears that Austrians could be fined just over $ 4,000 a month for refusing to be vaccinated.
Some on the right argue that the totalitarian left, which dominates the progressive movement, is using the pandemic to establish an all-powerful central government in America. Corrupt media scoffs at this, but I say – not that fast.
Let’s go to New Zealand, an isolated island nation located between Australia and South America. Only 5 million people live there and are known as Kiwis.
New Zealand is a very liberal country but has an extremely hard Covid footprint. Even though only 46 kiwis have died of Covid and 80% of the population is vaccinated, the Wellington government continues to block the country. Do you want to fly to take a look? You can not. All international travel is prohibited. Outside, everyone is required to wear a mask, large groups are not allowed.
Not many protests for tough measures. Kiwis typically do what they are told to do.
Now comes the news that New Zealand plans to ban cigarettes. Not allowed, you will be punished if you smoke them.
After successfully enforcing the strict rules of Covid, the government of New Zealand, a democracy, is now on the hunt to ban things, forever.
This is exactly what some conservatives in America had predicted. That a centralized progressive government would use Covid to attack personal choices. Will you conform or whatever.
Finally, I believe it is my patriotic duty to get vaccinated. I don’t particularly trust the government, but I’m not a conspiracy theorist. I believe in medical research and encourage others to do the same.
But the kiwis have lost their freedom because the people have empowered the militant government. And this is worth thinking about.
