The Best Spring Fashion Collaborations and Launches

Ana Khouri x The Row

I never really liked the phrase “wearable art”. It covers all kinds of sin, from over-planned to overpriced. However, a designer with a truly artistic eye can create items that elevate the wearer’s aesthetic, organically blending the world of fashion and art. Ana Khouri falls into the latter category. A favorite jewelry in the fashion world (I see her earrings on the coolest newsrooms and “It” girls all over the city), Khouri, who studied sculpture before working in jewelry, lives in New York but is originally from Brazil. After spending time during the pandemic in her home country and regaining knowledge of her unique natural materials – rosewood, crystal and rose quartz – she felt compelled to incorporate them into a fine jewelry collection. His first foray resulted in 17 unique pieces, sold at Sotheby’s alongside the Macklowe exhibition in 2021.

This month, Khouri is launching an expanded (though still very exclusive) continuation of this collection at The Row. The collection, which includes Khouri’s unique ear cuffs, along with thick sculptural rings and a delicately stunning choker, is limited edition, with one to 10 pieces of each style available. The jewels will be sold, starting January 7, in The Row boutiques in New York, Los Angeles and London.

Prada x Adidas Re-Nylon

Pradidas, Pradi Dassler: Whatever cheeky name you’d like to give it, Prada’s collaboration with Adidas is on the way and is filled with accessories that combine the sporty brand’s signature three stripes and the luxury brand’s iconic metallic triangle emblem. In a lookbook released last week, Adidas and Prada showed off a whole new range of bags, including a duffel bag and backpack that appears to be a fanny pack sitting atop a large travel case. A fusion, in fact.
