Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice praised his dance partner Rose Ayling-Ellis as the pair prepare to appear in the 2021 final.
Giovanni, 31, talked about his life-changing experience working with Rose, 27, on the show, calling it the “coolest thing that’s ever happened in my entire life.”
Appearing on It Takes Two, the couple were asked what it would mean for them to win the Saturday night show and Rose began to cry as Giovanni gave an emotional description of what being on the show meant to him.
“I think Rose personally deserves the best thing in the world,” explained Giovanni.

“As the family said, she just realized she can do whatever she wants, so for us we’re going to go there tomorrow night and have fun, but I think we’ve made a big impact.”
As Rose struggled to hold back her tears, Giovanni told her, “You are the most beautiful thing that has ever happened in my entire life. So I’m very grateful and very privileged to be the one on that journey with you, so thank you.
The pair will appear in the Strictly final with professional dancer Johannes Radebe and Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite, after presenter AJ Odudu had to retire from the competition at the last minute due to injury.
Giovanni and Rose were seen leaving filming of It Takes Two after they enjoyed a Christmas lunch together.
Photographed looking both relaxed and cheerful, Giovanni looked elegant in a gray jacket, tie and pants, while Rose looked elegant in a fitted green floral dress and heeled boots.
Previously, the couple had gone to Instagram wearing paper crowns while telling each other jokes about Christmas crackers.
Giovanni and Rose got into the Christmas spirit as they threw a festive dinner for two.
Giovanni starts the video with the camera pointed at himself and announces: “So Christmas for two”.
Turning the camera to her dance partner, the EastEnders star then tells a joke.
Rose says, “Merry Christmas. May I ask … why don’t you play a joke on a snake? “
Giovanni replies: “I don’t know Rose”, to which Rose then delivers the punchline, saying “Why can’t you pull their legs!”
The Strictly Come Dancing 2021 final will air on BBC One at 7pm on Saturday 18 December.
