Strictly’s AJ and Kai fuel romance rumours as she pines for him in new post

Strictly Come Dancing’s AJ Odudu admitted she misses her dance partner Kai Widdrington, 26, in the wake of the show’s demise last weekend.

Kai and AJ, 33, were expected to take part in the final alongside Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice, as well as John Whaite and Johannes Radebe, but AJ was forced to retire from the competition after suffering a bad ankle injury.

Since then, AJ has shared a series of photographs reflecting her time on the BBC’s hit show and has gotten excited about her partner Kai.

On Tuesday, Dec.21, AJ shared a series of snaps of her and Kai, including a video of him turning the TV presenter over his shoulder so he doesn’t have to walk on his injured ankle.

AJ captioned the post: “I just missed @kaiwidd being my personal TBH transportation. I really had my back ”.

AJ’s followers were quick to comment on the post expressing the hope that the two are a couple.

One person wrote: “if you are not together, I will give you both Oscars, I swear”, while someone else said: “But you two together! Come on, have we all imagined the flaming love story? “

Another person commented: “Keep checking to see if you have already married xx”, while another person wrote: “I want you to reunite!”

Since then, AJ has shared a video on social media in which she confirmed to her 222,000 followers that she and Kai were still chatting with each other.

Discussing her time on the program, the 33-year-old said, “It definitely didn’t end the way I wanted, but I’m still really grateful for the whole experience which was overwhelmingly positive.

“I’m just grateful to be part of the series that was the most inclusive and progressive that has ever been, ever been, and long lived that kind of diversity on our screens.”

AJ continued: “I made best friends, had a great time and yes, I’m still chatting with Kai, so it’s okay.”

The TV host captioned the video: “Thank you all for all your kind messages, especially in the last few days. You will be happy to know that my ankle will heal and my broken heart is on the mend.

“Plus, I will really milk for as long as possible, being served and served by my family and friends,” added AJ.
