Ah, the Golden Globes.
There is nothing like that January night when the world of cinema and TV collide under the same roof, a magical place with champagne flows freely and literally anything can happen. And we mean anything.
This year, for example, will certainly be an unprecedented year. Amidst the criticism of the Hollywood foreign press and the rise in coronavirus cases, the ceremony will not be televised, nor will there be an audience or a red carpet. So, for the first time in the more than 75-year history of the annual party, there will be no winners to surprise us with a deliciously drunk acceptance speech or a red carpet-breaking show that leaves jaws on the floor.
Alas, it is worth taking a look back at all the madness that has happened to us. From missing winners to drunken presenters, confused speeches to swimming pool dives, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s annual party was the epicenter for one wild moment after another.
