Neil Reynolds has established an eight-game lead over Jeff Reinebold as we enter the final two weeks of the 2021 regular season: Can Jeff close the gap as they make their predictions for week 17?

In addition to hosting Inside the embrace on Sky Sports NFL every Tuesday at 9pm, Neil and Jeff post a weekly audio edition of ITH every Wednesday where they make their game choices.

Neil scored Jeff’s 10-8 in week 16 to open a 155-147 lead during the year as he correctly predicted the Indianapolis Colts win over the Arizona Cardinals and the impressive Buffalo Bills win over the New England Patriots to resume control of the AFC Est.

NEIL PICKS: Chiefs

“You have a Chiefs defense in there that averaged just 12.8 points per game in a streak of eight straight wins, and Joe Burrow is coming out past 525 yards, which was the fourth most in NFL history. I’ll go Chiefs on the road to move forward. “

JEFF PICKS: Chiefs

“I’ll follow that with the Chiefs. I just think 525 yards, while it was incredible, I think that was a little inflated figure because the Ravens were really beaten and had no one in the secondary.”

Arizona Cardinals @ Dallas Cowboys

NEIL PICKS: Cowboys

“The Cardinals have lost three in a row, Dallas, when they play like they did on Sunday night, they look like a Super Bowl contender. I think Arizona is really in trouble, I think Dallas can take this and keep rolling. I don’t know what. went wrong with the Cardinals. “

JEFF PICKS: Cowboys

“Too much inconsistency in Arizona, I get the Cowboys.”

Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers

NEIL PICKS: Packers

“We keep looking at Aaron Rodgers’ big toe and worry about him limping and hitting one shot after another on the back of the pitch, and the defense is really impressive. As dangerous as Minnesota may be, I’m going to the Packers to win at home “.

JEFF PICKS: Packers

“There is no question, I think the Packers are a team ready to have a deep run at the Super Bowl.”

Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers

NEIL PICKS: Browns

“Two teams with no margin for error. At least I trust the Browns have a plan if Baker can avoid mistakes, they have a good running game. Pittsburgh looks lost on offense, I’m going to the Browns here.”

JEFF PICKS: Browns

“You have to go to the Browns. It is shocking to me that offensive line manager Adrian Klemm is leaving the Steelers, with two games to play in the season and they are still fighting in the playoffs, to take a job at college in Oregon. I have to contact Adrian because that shocked me, I heard the deal was in the works but I said ‘there’s no way they’re going to let him break his contract until after the season’, and Mike let him go. “
