Katie Salmon has announced that she is engaged to her boyfriend Harry.
The Love Island star, 26, is best known for appearing on the ITV2 dating series in 2016 – where she made show business history by pairing up with Sophie Gradon to become the show’s first homosexual pairing.
Katie announced the happy news on Instagram on Christmas Day, sharing a series of photos of the romantic beachfront proposal in Thailand.
A photo shows Katie smiling broadly as she displays Harry’s stunning proposed ring, which consisted of a single square-cut diamond on a gold band.

Katie’s boyfriend Harry is cuddling his future wife as he kisses her cheek in the image.
Another photo shows Harry on his knees during the romantic beach proposal. Harry wears a pair of pink shorts and a T-shirt as he kneels in front of Katie, who holds out her hand to accept the ring.
Katie opted for a simple yet chic look by wearing a white shirt and black cycling shorts.
One last photo shows the newly engaged couple hugging and kissing after Katie says “yes”.

The Love Island star shared the photos with her 262,000 followers on Instagram and shared her delight in the caption.
“HE ASKED ME TO BE HIS WIFE,” he wrote. “My best friend, my twin flame, the love of my life asked me to marry him and made me the happiest girl in the world !!!!”
Katie then referred to the couple’s home being robbed earlier this year as she continued: “My child, we’ve been through so much together and we’ve built so much, I can’t wait to share this. next chapter with you and to shake your hand in marriage. forever.
“I love you so much that I have no other words to say! The best Christmas …”

He then concluded the caption: “S, SS”.
The happy couple received congratulations from famous friends and fans in the comments.
Olivia Bowen wrote: “Congratulations my beautiful girl. You two should be !!!!!”
While Georgia Harrison said “so happy for you cxx” and The Only Way Is Essex star Nicole Bass added “Congratulations darling” followed by a clapping hand emoji and a heart emoji.

Katie is best known for joining Sophie Grandon in the 2016 series of the show.
Sophie was originally paired with Tom Powell, but later joined Katie after he left the mansion.
But Sophie later dumped Katie and left the show to be with Tom again. This led to Katie pairing the cup with Adam Maxted.
Their romance was short lived as it only lasted two weeks after the series ended.
