Jake Paul: Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and a switch to MMA emerge as possibilities for his next fight | Boxing News

Jake Paul is considering “a real boxer” like Julio Cesar Chavez Jr or a move to MMA for the next stage of his fighter career.

The YouTuber turned boxer is undefeated in his first five boxing fights, the last one hitting Tyron Woodley with a spectacular knockout.

He defeated fellow social media influencer AnEsonGib, former basketball player Nate Robinson, and former UFC fighters Ben Askren and Woodley (twice).

He had to fight Tommy Fury until the WBC heavyweight champion’s younger brother retired.

Paul is now watching Chavez Jr, the son of an all-time boxing legend and 61-fight veteran who once held a world championship.

“I really like that fight because it silences the critics,” said Paul The sporty volume.

“He was a former world champion and I know I can beat him. That challenge excites me and I’m down.

“Even after taking out Woodley they were like ‘fighting a real boxer’ and I’m like, ‘Guys I tried, and he [Tommy Fury] dropped out of combat two weeks earlier. ‘

“I want to fight a real boxer and I just have a little patience”.

Mexican Chavez Jr fell short of his father’s extraordinary legacy and, earlier this year, was flagged in the ring by UFC legend Anderson Silva.

Paul also teased footage of himself training in mixed martial arts during his ongoing feud with UFC president Dana White and the biggest names in the sport.

He previously called Conor McGregor, Nate Diaz, Jorge Masvidal and Kamaru Usman – some of the UFC’s best fighters – and warned, “I’ll embarrass them too. I promise you.

“People should be afraid. Nobody is safe. Everyone is on high alert.

“After two years as a pro, this is astronomical. I would love to fight more opposition as I go.

“Maybe, when the time comes, I’ll go for the world title.

“Four huge fights in 13 months: no one in boxing history has done what I did at this age.”

Masvidal replied to Paul: “You can’t afford me. The names you mentioned? You can’t afford it.

“I know how much you pay.

“You talk about a big game: $ 50 million here, $ 50 million there. If that were the case, Floyd Mayweather would have fought with you. But he didn’t.

“Come to the UFC. Sign a one-fight contract. I’ll break your jaw in front of the whole world.

“If you want it, it’s here.”

Romero teased: “If you go to a restaurant and pay for a filet mignon, you want a good filet mignon. You pay for that service and that food. If you pay for a filet mignon, you don’t want an egg. I look like a filet mignon and the brothers. Paul look like an egg! “
