How much Prince Harry and Meghan’s Californian mansion would cost to rent

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are currently rumored to be looking for new places to live, which will leave their California mansion on the market.

Their couple have lived in their sprawling Montecito mansion since August 2020 and are said to have cost them a whopping $ 14.65 million (£ 10.5 million).

And while the couple is likely to sell the pad, if they decide to keep it, potential tenants would be reduced by £ 121,000 per month, coming in at a whopping £ 1.5 million per year.

Luxury Hotel accommodation experts analyzed the home’s overall value to find out how much the couple might charge each month if they decide to rent the lavish property.

The villa has nine bedrooms, 16 bathrooms and large living and study rooms, as well as a separate guest house with two more bedrooms, where friends and family can stay.

The California estate also features a gym, winery, swimming pool and guesthouse and is surrounded by green gardens that include a tennis court and outdoor golf course.

However, Harry and Meghan are in the process of moving out of their luxurious Los Angeles home according to a source who claims the couple are “not over the moon” with the residence.

“They are thinking of selling their house there. However, it won’t be on the market because of who they are, “an insider told The Mirror.

“It is only shown to people who are confirmed with funds and are serious buyers.

“They want to be in or near the neighborhood, but they’re not over the moon about the house and the location.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are considering moving out of their Los Angeles mansion

While Harry and Meghan may not be happy with the site of their home, the surrounding community was certainly attractive, with Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres included as neighbors to the former royal couple.

Before Harry and Meghan moved into the Los Angeles mansion in 2020, the property was owned by Russian businessman Sergey Grishin, who also owned the “Scarface mansion” (sold in 2015) which is located in another point of California.

The couple previously resided at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, which has now been handed over to Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, providing a large home for their baby August.

News of the couple’s potential relocation comes after Harry and Meghan shared the first image of their baby girl Lilibet in a family photo taken by Alexi Lubomirski over the holidays.
