She also said she felt “really lucky” to have more women in her life who have come together to support her during her two pregnancies.
“I can call my mother, on my bathroom floor, sobbing, asking her for advice. And I think you do, you rely on the advice of your grandmother, your mother, the elderly women around you who have been through it,” he said. This isn’t the first time the topic of children surrounding Hailey and Justin has come up. The couple, who had a second wedding ceremony in 2019, discussed their decision to wait before having children together.
But that doesn’t mean they’re not planning their future. In December 2020, Justin said Ellen DeGeneres that he was willing to have as many children as “Hailey wishes to get away,” adding, “I’d like to have a small tribe myself, but yes, it’s her body and whatever she wants to do.”
When Ellen asked about their choice, the “Stay” singer said she wanted to wait to have children until Hailey was ready. “I think the problem – there’s not really a problem – I think Hailey still has things she wants to accomplish as a woman,” she explained. “I just think it’s not ready yet and that’s okay.”
