G.rapeStars, the celebrity wine and spirits platform, is launching an exciting line of wines produced by another type of celebrity … major fashion houses. After the celebrity booze hit, get ready for the “high fashion” craze. The pairing of haute couture and wines shouldn’t be all that surprising as they are essentially what the French and Italians are famous for.

“The visionaries, pillars, founders and creators of luxury fashion have cultivated wine and spirits throughout history, all creating their opulent couture collections,” says Stephan Fortier, president and CEO of GrapeStars.

Moet & Hennessy was the leading producer of champagne and cognac long before merging with Louis Vuitton in 1987 to create the fashion giant LVMH. They now have a sizeable portfolio of fine wines and spirits to match their high-end fashion institutions like Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Fendi and Emilio Pucci to name a few. LVMH also has a stake in Hermés.


The D&G Rosa 2020, in a bright pale pink color, presents an elegant bouquet of jasmine and rose petals, with delicate fruity notes of currant and bergamot. It has a very pleasant aroma and minerality, and is distinguished by its finesse and persistence.

“Chanel has been growing Grands Bordeaux for generations. The company acquired its first wine producer outside of France in Napa Valley with St. Supéry from the Skalli family, ”says GrapeStars President Robert Pelletier. Salvatore Ferragamo, the original high fashion designer, bought II Boro in 1993 and applied the same dedication to craftsmanship to his new private label wine. Forty-Six Diamonds Toscana 2009 is the latest vintage, a celebration of the famous Tuscan grape, Sangiovese. For some decades Roberto Cavalli has been producing vodka and wines.

The Artemis group has many great vineyards. Its subsidiary Kering owns iconic fashion brands such as Gucci, Yves St-Laurent, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta and Alexander McQueen.
