After being reminded of the rules of the game, Gemma jokes: “No, I understand. I understand perfectly. I’m just not sure if you know who I am, honey, but I don’t play.”

Joining Gemma in Thursday’s The Weakest Link Christmas special are Kym Marsh, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Christopher Biggins, Reverend Kate Bottley, Bonnie Langford, Olly Smith and Danny John-Jules.

The eight stars will initially have to work as a team to try and win up to £ 50,000 for their individually chosen charity and each round one player will be voted ‘The Weakest Link’ before ‘The Strongest Link’ is decided.

The Weakest Link Christmas Special is Thursday 23 December at 6:30 pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
