The Premiership match between Bath and London Irish has been canceled

Bath’s Gallagher Premiership match against London Irish on Monday was canceled after the club returned more positive Covid-19 test results.

The West Country team had already seen their midweek Premiership Rugby Cup match against the Exeter Chiefs canceled due to positive test results and injuries.

And now the next championship match in Bath has also been canceled following further positive Covid-19 tests in the squad, which ruled out a significant number of players.

“Our priority is the health and safety of everyone involved with Bath Rugby and London Irish, so the decision has been made to cancel the match,” said a Premiership Rugby spokesperson.

A Premiership Rugby jury will now be convened to determine match points at Brentford Community Stadium.
