SANT ‘ANTONIO – Davison Igginosun kicked off All-American Bowl rehearsals with an interception earlier in the week and also ended the week on a high note.
The four-star cornerback from New Jersey has engaged with Ole Miss. The Rebels signed two defenders during the first signing period. Igbinosun is second four stars in the loot along with Tennessee safety Taylor Groves.
“Coach (Chris) Partridge and coach (Marquise) Watson also appreciate my versatility,” Igbinosun previously said at Rivals of the Rebels push. “Coach Partridge said he wants to move me a lot; he wants me to play safety, nickel corner, boundary corner and pitch corner.”
Igbinosun, a graduate of Union (NJ) High School, is the nation’s No. 27 security and No. 2 player in New Jersey.
Ole Miss emerged as a contender for the four-star from New Jersey soon after Igbinosun withdrew his Rutgers promise. The long cornerback (6ft-3, 185lbs) brings length and a ton of raw skill to the Rebels’ secondary and a talented defender to trot against bigger SEC receivers.
During his senior season at Union High School, Igbinosun displayed excellent range and hawkish tendencies as well as the ability to respond to interceptions later on. Igbinosun was also dynamic in offensive snaps with tremendous directing skills.
