Everything you need to know about Niall Cunningham who plays Brady in Sex and the City reboot

The next chapter of Sex and the City finally aired on Thursday, December 9, after months of teasers and rumors of potential twists.

The reboot, titled And Just Like That …, sees iconic characters Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York-Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis) all return to our screens.

The characters’ lives have changed wildly since we last saw them, and most importantly, their children have all grown up. While Carrie has chosen not to have children, Charlotte is a mom to two girls and Miranda’s son Brady is now a teenager.

Teenager Brady’s character has also been taken over by a new actor, Niall Cunningham. Here we take a look at who the new star is …

Who is Niall Cunningham?

Niall Cunningham is 27 and hails from Brooklyn, New York.

He is an actor best known for playing the role of Tyler Hughes in Life in Pieces, a family comedy by CBS, which aired from 2015 to 2019.

Niall also starred in the TV series Awkward and in 2017 had a small role in Bong Joon-ho’s Okja.

However, Niall hasn’t always dreamed of being an actor, but he made his acting debut in 2015 on the Hulu show Deadbeat, and soon discovered his love of acting.

He has now landed the role of Brady in Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That …, with the first two episodes airing recently.

Brady is the son of Miranda Hobbes and Steve Brady (David Eigenberg), and was originally played by actor Joseph Pupo.

Joseph retained the role from childhood through to the SATC films, with Brady last appearing on screen in the 2010 film, Sex and the City 2.

On Instagram, Niall talked about his latest role and his co-stars. Sharing shots from the recent premiere in New York, he wrote, “I am so enormously grateful to be a part of this amazing show, in this beautiful and generous set, and the baby to these wonderful TV parents – Oh my, what a luck.”

Speaking to HollywoodLife at launch, he took a look at what fans can expect from Brady now that he’s a teenager with a girl, saying, “You’re struggling to find yourself and make mistakes that you think are not mistakes and that definitely stepping on the toes of others. It’s a difficult time. ”
