Newcastle scored four tries to beat Worcester by five points in the opening round of the European Challenge Cup at Kingston Park.

The teams were tied 21-21 at half-time after three tries each, with Max Wright, Mike Brown and George McGuigan going above and beyond for the hosts. Worcester responded with a penalty try and the efforts of Duhan van der Merwe and Harri Doel.
