Emmerdale fans go wild for new dishy doctor who ‘is Cain Dingle’s double’

Emmerdale viewers have asked soap bosses to make their new dishonest doctor a permanent character after impressing viewers on his debut.

During a recent episode of the ITV soap, Moira and Cain Dingle (Natalie J. Robb and Jeff Hordley) were updated separately on Kyle Winchester’s (Huey Quinn) condition.

The little boy is in the hospital after almost freezing to death with his aunt Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper), but luckily he has managed to recover from the ordeal.

And the doctor who provided the medical updates had a storm with viewers, as many diehard soap fans begged the producers to make him a permanent character on the show, with plenty of comments about his resemblance to Cain.

An Emmerdale viewer tweeted: ‘Hey @emmerdale, hold this actor Dr! He looks like a younger version of Cain! & Smiles, so maybe a nice version.’

Another agreed, adding, “I thought it was Cain in a smock at first sight, very pleasing to the eye.”

While a third commented: “I’m glad I’m not the only one to think so”.

Others asked where they recognized the actor playing him from, as the credits at the end of the soap revealed that his name is Neil Ditt.

Neil has already starred on the small screen in a number of shows, such as stepping into the shoes of a police officer in EastEnders in 2019 named DS James Alexander.

The actor’s other credits include the popular medical drama Holby City and some TV movies.
