ARIZONA

After a 1-11 season, recruiting could have struggled a lot, but the opposite happened – and a change of manager right around the day of signing gave Arizona the opportunity to gain a five-star prospect. The nation’s # 2 receiver, Tetairoa McMillan of Anaheim (Calif.) Serve, has gone from Oregon to the Wildcats and could be an instant star. Arizona is now only one of two Pac-12 programs alongside the USC to have a five-star signer right now. With three stars to four stars in Ephesians Prysock, Keyan Burnett and Sterling Lane, the Wildcats have more four stars than eight other conference programs.

STATE OF ARIZONA

Tevin White (Rivals.com)

Classified under no. 11 on the Pac-12 team leaderboard that aren’t filled with outstanding recruiting classes, the Sun Devils only have eight prospects in their class right now. Stafford (Va.) North Stafford running back Tevin White is the only four-star in and then Arizona State received positive news belatedly when former Northwestern three-star QB commit Bennett Meredith signed with the Sun Devils. But there is still a lot of work to be done in Tempe.

CAL

December was really productive for Cal’s recruiting class. It started with a commitment from wide receiver JUCO Mason Starling and only got better when the Golden Bears overturned former Nebraska running back promise Ashton Hayes, earned four-star OL Trent Ramsey from Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day and then they got four stars running Jaydn Ott back to class again. It was a big milestone for Cal and could provide momentum into February.

COLORADO

Owen McCown

Owen McCown (Rivals.com)

The Buffaloes have loaded with 20 engagements – only Stanford and Arizona have more in the Pac-12 – but they don’t have four stars in the class. However, Colorado have done really well in Texas with eight engagements from that state led by quarterback Owen McCown, who has pitched for more than 3,300 yards with 36 touchdowns and just four picks this season. He is also Josh McCown‘s son. The Buffaloes have also been successful by signing three players from the charged state of Georgia.

OREGON

Anthony Jones

Anthony Jones (Rivals.com)

The Ducks have undergone some significant disengagement with the news that coach Mario cristobal was leaving for Miami with five-star Tetairoa McMillan and Kelvin Banks along with four-star Tanner Bailey, TJ Dudley and Jahlil Florence headed elsewhere. So new coach Dan Lanning will have a lot of work to do to finalize this class which still has some nice pieces including four star Jalil Tucker and getting Anthony Jones out of the Texas class was a big move on signing day.

Melvin Jordan

Melvin Jordan (Rivals.com)

Sixteen engagements is a good thing as it’s one of the highest totals in Pac-12 and getting four-star linebacker Melvin Jordan from Clearwater (Fla.) Calvary Christian was certainly a surprise and a big positive in this recruiting class. Christian three-star DE Mathias Malaki-Donaldson of Westlake Village (Calif.) Also has incredible length, so it was a huge win for the Beavers. But they don’t have many successful commits, and the Oregon State average star ranking for this class is towards the bottom of the conference.

STANFORD

David Bailey

David Bailey

After a 3-9 season where things really went off the rails, Cardinal’s recruitment could have failed but coach David Shaw and his staff kept it together and put together class No. 1 in the Pac-12 at this point. Stanford and Arizona are tied with 21 commits for the most part in the conference and Cardinal is leading with six four-star stars led by Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei LB David Bailey, who USC tried to overturn at the end of the game. Defensive extremes Ernest Cooper and Teva Tafiti are also the highlights of this class.

UCLA

Kamari Ramsey

Kamari Ramsey

The Bruins only have 12 engagements, but there is four-star firepower in the pack and launching four-star safety Kamari Ramsey from Stanford at the end of the initial signing period was a huge win for them. On the offensive side of the ball, four-star quarterback Justyn Marin, four-star receiver Jadyn Marshall, and four-star tight end Carsen Ryan provide some weapons. Four-star athlete Clint Stephens is expected to be used throughout the secondary.

USC

Raleek Brown

Trojans don’t have quantity but they certainly have quality in their recruiting class. Only seven prospects have signed with the Trojans as a coach so far Lincoln Riley worked through the recruiting class and moved some pieces with others they should join as well. Some of these names could include four-star receiver CJ Williams, four-star defender Cyrus Moss, and others. The five-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei Domani Jackson and Raleek Brown lead the way for USC, which has the highest star average of any class in the Pac-12.

UTAH

Lander Barton

Lander Barton

The last month leading up to signing day was blurry as Utah loaded so quickly – and with so many talented players from four-star linebacker Lander Barton to three-star athlete Carson Tabaracci and the Utes closed. getting three-star linebacker Justin Medlock, a former Miami member, will also join the class. It was a huge haul for Utah, which always has underrated classes, and this one has a lot of talent. Four-star running back Jaylon Glover of Lakeland (Fla.) Lake Gibson was another major addition. This class has star power across the board.

WASHINGTON

Germie Bernard

Germie Bernard (Nick Lucero / Rivals.com)

Currently with only six engagements, the lowest of the Pac-12, the Huskies are last in the conference standings but with a not entirely unexpected manager change. Four-star receiver Germie Bernard and four-star tight end Ryan Otton lead the way for the small Washington class at this point, so a lot of work will need to be done in the late run and possibly in the transfer portal to fill out this class.

Second dollar

Andre Dollar (Rivals.com)

Only two programs in the Pac-12 do not have a four-star commitment: Washington State and Colorado. There are some good pieces in this group that have been through a weird coaching situation before Jake Dickert got full time job. Losing three-star quarterback Adryan Lara hurts, but three-star tight end Andre Dollar is a handsome hunk and three-star linebacker Taariq Al-Uqdah is an attacking midfielder.
