DeVon Franklin And Meagan Good they are calling him after nearly a decade of marriage, confirming their divorce decision in a joint statement on Tuesday, Dec. 21.
“After many prayers and considerations, we have decided to enter our future separately but forever connected”, reads the statement obtained by In contact.
“We celebrate nearly a decade of marriage and eternal love together. There is no one at fault, we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love, “the statement continued.” We are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we have spent together as husband and wife. We are also extremely grateful to God for the testimony that has been created within us and for having blessed our lives with one another ”.
In contact can confirm that Franklin, 43, filed the paperwork on Monday, December 20, at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles, California.
The former flames first crossed while collaborating on the 2011 film Jump the broom, announcing their engagement in May 2012. Good and Franklin got married on June 16, 2012.
In 2015 they had jointly released a relationship-inspired book called Waiting: A powerful practice for finding the love of your life and the life you love. The couple abstained from pre-wedding sex and discussed the benefits of doing it today in the modern dating scene.
Franklin and Good have always been outspoken about their mutual adoration. Franklin, who is a preacher, often spoke of his longtime love during his sermons.
Fans also enjoyed seeing the two together on the red carpet at the 2019 BET Awards. Most recently, Franklin showed good support ahead of the premiere of the new Amazon Prime Video series. Harlem, in which she plays the character of Camille.
