With infection rates on the rise again, you may be in the market for some new face masks to protect yourself from coronavirus variant Omicron. The CDC says vaccination is the best step the public can take to protect themselves from serious disease and slow the emergence of new variants. But, the agency notes, “the masks offer protection against all variants.”

But, of course, not all masks are the same. The CDC recommends face masks with multiple layers of material. For extra protection, a disposable mask is recommended under a cloth mask (double masking). Wash cloth masks between uses and be sure to wear disposable masks only once. The CDC does not recommend single layer masks and masks that do not fit snugly on the mouth and nose without leakage.

For optimal protection, consider using an N95 face mask.

Fortunately, many fashion brands now sell face masks that fit the bill, offering multiple layers of protection and disposable filter pockets. Gone are the days when stern looking disposable paper masks served as your only option. Before us, some of the most impressive and sensational face masks from designer brands and under the radar, ranging from cheap to big crazy, with which you can dress up.
