News to all. For sale Sunset fans were shocked by the news that Chrishell Stause And Jason Oppenheim has decided to close, and so have friends and co-stars of the duo.
“It’s definitely a surprise to some of their closest friends,” says an insider exclusively Us Weekly of the co-founder of the Oppenheim Group, 44, and the dancing with the Stars alum, 40 years old. “They don’t go around telling everyone about their breakup. Some casts only found out today. “
We confirmed on Tuesday, Dec.21 that the former couple separated just five months after they went public with their relationship. The couple, who began dating in May, revealed their relationship in July while on vacation in Italy with some of their castmates. “Chrishell and I became close friends and developed into an amazing relationship,” said the real estate agent We at the time. “I care a lot about her and we are very happy together.”
Shortly after news of their split, Oppenheim confirmed the breakup with a statement posted via her Instagram Stories. “Even if Chrishell and I are no longer together, we remain best friends, we will love and always support each other,” wrote the California native. “She was the most amazing girl I’ve ever had, and it was the happiest and most fulfilling relationship of my life.”
The alum from the University of California, Berkeley also hinted at why the duo decided to end their relationship. “Even though we have different wishes regarding a family, we continue to have the utmost respect for each other,” he continued. “Chrishell is an amazing human being and loving her and having her in my life is one of the best things that ever happened to me.”
Although the couple had been dating for less than a year, some of their friends believed they were headed for a long journey and thinking ahead.
“Those who dated them actually thought they were headed for marriage, not a split,” adds the insider. “They looked like a couple who would get married: they had great chemistry, they loved each other and they loved each other.”
Last month, Oppenheim said exclusively We that he and his ex-girlfriend developed a very close bond long before their romance began.
“There’s definitely been a transition,” he said in November, adding that the duo would “joke” about their dating lives before starting to see each other. “We were so open about what we were looking for with each other because we had become close friends.”
With that transition complete, the real estate professional didn’t hesitate to declare his feelings for Stause, saying We then: “I love her”.
