Bath have not won the Premiership so far this season

Bath’s Premiership match against the Exeter Chiefs was canceled due to “a combination of Covid-related player absences and existing injuries” on Neal Hatley’s squad.

A Premiership Rugby statement said Bath does not have enough front-row strikers to meet matchday 23 at The Rec on 29 December.

“Also, there is not enough time to add more players to our squad that we can be sure of are Covid free, and with a Gallagher Premiership Rugby match scheduled within the next seven days, the safety of our wider team and staff. it has to be fundamental. ”Bath added in a statement.

Following the cancellation, a Premiership Rugby jury will determine the award of the points, with an announcement to be made in due course.

Bath, bottom of the table and winless this season, says the away match against London Irish on 3 January “remains unchanged”.
