Arsenal vs Wolves Premier League match on December 28 postponed due to Covid-19 and injuries | Football News

The Wolves away game against Arsenal on Tuesday was postponed due to a string of coronavirus cases and injuries in Bruno Lage’s side.

It is the second holiday postponement for the Wolves after their Boxing Day match against Watford was also canceled due to a high number of COVID-19 cases at the Watford camp.

In addition to the outbreak, Wolves currently have a number of injured players, including Hwang Hee-chan, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Willy Boly, as well as long-term absentees Pedro Neto, Jonny Castro Otto and Yerson Mosquera.

With this in mind, the Premier League accepted the Wolves’ request to cancel the match.

Wolves’ next scheduled game is now a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on 3 January.

Arsenal vs Wolves is the second Premier League midweek match to be postponed, following the announcement that Leeds vs Aston Villa would be canceled.
