‘And Just Like That’ we can tune into fresh, fun fashion again

So who is looking at “That’s right”? The new reboot of “Sex and the City” is a fabulous character (Samantha) and deals with Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte decades after the original HBO show ended. This time, instead of chatting over lunch about who they’re dating, opineing on different sexual positions and nightlife trends, they’re grappling with seriously next-level things: race relationships, finding out they have non-binary kids, habitually abused husbands, picking up on pieces after the death of a spouse and accept the fact that (gasp!) we all age eventually.

But interspersed with all that heavy talk, women’s smart jokes are still going strong. And so are the incredible dresses, brought to us by the show’s new designer duo, Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago. Here are some examples of the best looks of the season so far and some ideas on where to find them for you.

The look: Charlotte’s perfect walking dress. Charlotte still has a lot of ladylike style, even when she’s taking her bulldog Richard Burton for a walk on the Upper East Side. Resplendent in a blue polka dot Balenciaga skirt and Stella McCartney top, mom also carries a slim Burberry bag the perfect size to carry inside her poop poop bags. Too over the top? Absolutely! But also: 1000% preppy-diva credits.

Understand it: Charlotte’s skirt and blouse are out of stock almost everywhere, but you can still get the Burberry Vintage Check Cotton Bag Charm ($ 480 at us.burberry.com).

Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) has style in the bag.

The look: The new show is filled with Easter egg-style references to episodes of the original, including Carrie’s Fendi baguette that was tragically stolen in season three. The baguette returns in the new fashion show, thus consolidating its timeless charm. In fact, to celebrate the release of the reboot show, Fendi has relaunched the exact same purple sequined bag and, of course, has a ton of other versions too.

Understand it: You could rack up thousands for a bargain baguette at fendi.com, or simply opt for a baguette-style design in a faux butter yellow crocodile for a small sliver of the price, in the Quarkera Small Clutch Bag Mini Tote Mini Shoulder Bag ($ 23 on amazon.com).

Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) looks gorgeous in a Norma Kamali one shoulder asymmetrical dress.

The look: Carrie’s bodycon dress. It’s gorgeous, it’s timeless, embraces all kinds of beautiful figures, and looks just as stunning on a 20-year-old as it does on a 50-year-old, as Carrie demonstrates well. For the episode, designers Rogers and Santiago paired Norma Kamali’s “Diana” jersey dress, with flounces and asymmetrical, with Aquazzura heels and a cream blazer with splashes of blue on the shoulders.

Understand it: Miraculously, the exact dress is still available to order ($ 215 at saksfifthavenue.com).

Charlotte (Kristin Davis, right with Evan Handler) looks everywhere like the happy housewife in her flowery apron.

The look: The perfect apron for Charlotte’s spring. Maybe it’s the tucked-in waist and skirt fitted with a functional grosgrain ribbon. Or maybe it’s the bold, wild and unrepentantly colored flowers splashed all over the soft cotton design. Either way, this apron could very well make us all a Charlotte. Or if not, we’ll take a look, and yup, we’ll all want to go cook something.

Understand it: This couldn’t be easier to find; is the Nathalie Lete Helena apron ($ 32 at anthropologie.com).
