Haas driver Nikita Mazepin tested positive for Covid-19 and will miss the Abu Dhabi GP at the end of the season on Sunday.

It means that only 19 drivers will take part in the race with substitutes able to compete only if they have taken part in at least one free practice session.

Mazepin, the 22-year-old Russian, had driven in all the sessions before the race.

Mick Schumacher will therefore be the only Haas car on the grid on Sunday afternoon, when the race starts at 13:00.

Writing on Twitter, Mazepin posted:

F1 says all Mazepin contacts have been cleared and that there will not be a wider impact on how Sunday’s event unfolds.
