Megaupload.com closed, US Goverment computer network hacked.

The hackers have targeted attacks on government computer networks and organizations the United States following the closure of copyright file-sharing site Megaupload.

U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), FBI, and the Motion Picture Association of America (MPPA) in between the bombarded with traffic (traffic) the Internet, the BBC writes in his latest report.

Web links have been distributed, when clicked, infected users computer. A statement as to link the hacker group Anonymous is responsible. (more…)

SOPA protest swells as Google, Scribd, and WordPress join

Google will join Wednesday’s protest against the Stop Online Piracy Act, linking to anti-SOPA information on the firm’s US home page.

“Like many businesses, entrepreneurs and web users, we oppose these bills because there are smart, targeted ways to shut down foreign rogue websites without asking American companies to censor the Internet,” a Google spokesman told Ars. “So tomorrow we will be joining many other tech companies to highlight this issue on our US home page.” (more…)
