LU3000 Smartphone ‘New weapon’ from LG

LG tried to demonstrate ability in the field of upper-class smartphone. They make LG LU3000, Froyo Android-based handsets with features that look impressive. Even claimed, LU3000 appear more quickly in terms of web access, rather than Samsung Galaxy S and the iPhone 4. This is demonstrated in a YouTube video where when accessing a website, LU3000 seemed more reliable than the two mobile phone.

Quoted from UnwiredView, Tuesday (30/11/2010), specifications LU3000 reportedly quite good, although not much different from today’s smart phones. The cell phone has a TI OMAP 3630 processor 1GHz and 3.8 inch screen with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. While the 5 megapixel camera complete with flash lighting. Also included the ability to record full HD video (1080p) and HDMI ports.

LG will introduce this phone the first time in his home country, South Korea. Unfortunately, it is not clear if the LG will also going to throw it into the global market

Electronic Newspaper 2010

Shaped like a sheet of newspaper, but the display of text and images rather than static printing. Writing and drawing on the sheet can be fickle like mobile phones or computer screens.

This is one technology that may be the future of newspapers in today’s digital era. With a flexible sheet format, readers can still enjoy a relaxing habit of reading newspapers, but in a digital format according to the demands of the times.

Paper newspaper design giant South Korean electronics company, LG Electronics, has now started to produced. The latest news published by PC World, Thursday (26/08/2010), mentions that LG plans to mass-produce color electronic paper sized 9.7 inches and 19 inches.

As reported by the technology blog Engadget, in January, LG has exhibited a prototype of electronic paper-made, but only displays text and black and white images only. Could be, the items to be mass produced is the development of the prototype.

However, no mention whether the electronic paper will be produced for the needs of what kind of device. In addition to the new style paper with the navigation keys, electronic paper is also potentially be used as a flexible touch screens for public information boards or other needs.

LG Unveils 2 High-End Android OS Smartphones

LG has taken the wraps off a pair of smartphones that will be variations on a theme. They are going to have different designs – one with a sliding keyboard and one without – but most other specs will be the same: Google’s Android OS, 1 GHz processor, and a large AMOLED display.

The SU2300 was pre-announced in April, but many more details are now available. The SU950 is being unveiled for the first time.

Aside from their shapes, both smartphones have much in common, starting with a 3.5-inch WVGA (800×480) AMOLED Touchscreen and an optical trackpad. In addition, each will have a 5 megapixel camera, 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS.

The LG SU2300 will be a slider, with a landscape-oriented keyboard and large D-pad that can be hidden behind the display. The SU950, on the other hand, will forgo a physical keyboard in favor of an on-screen one.

Launching Soon
The models will debut in LG’s home country, South Korea. The SU2300 will be released in May, while the SU950 will be out in June. (more…)
