Keep a traffic way to your site

October 21st, 2010 by admin | 2 Comments | Filed in Blogging

Traffic Blogging is a perfect way for people to share their thoughts with others. When people blog, it means they keep an updated online journal or diary. Weblog and blog are the same things. Companies might also blog to help increase the amount of business on their web sites. For many bloggers, increasing traffic to their blogs is not the only goal. Most people that blog want to keep their visitors coming back for more. The following are four ways to keep traffic visitors coming to your blog site.

Blogging is a relatively new phenomenon. Some blog writes choose to keep their blogs personal and do not share their thoughts with others. These are more like online diaries. Other wants to share with everyone what he or she has to say. Blogging is a big business and many websites offer free blog hosting. In addition, many companies choose blogging as an inexpensive way to advertise their products or services. Blogging on the Internet is often much cheaper than maintaining a web site and is usually more interesting for readers and clients. (more…)

Recreating existing Flash ads with HTML5/CSS3

July 26th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Blogging

Cover your eyes, AdBlock users: the future of the web is here, and it includes adverts.

Unless of course you reckon that Adobe’s Flash is always going to reign supreme when it comes to creating animated content online, so that the combination of HTML5 and CSS3 will just never become important, or that browsers capable of displaying HTML5/CSS3 content won’t become pervasive enough for it to matter.

I can’t believe it’s not Flash! Can you tell which ads are in HTML5?

Recreating existing Flash ads with HTML5/CSS3 might seem pointless, but for designers and sites looking to beat ad-blocking it might be the future. See how well you can spot the differences…

But if you don’t… over at sencha.com, you can now – assuming you’re using a sufficiently modern browser – take a quiz: see if you can spot which one of the pairs of ads is done in Flash, and which is done in HTML5/CSS3. (more…)

Google Friend Connect does not work?

July 2nd, 2010 by admin | 1 Comment | Filed in Blogging

This will be helping with your Google Friend Connect issue that does not work in one browser but not working in other browsers. It seems this only occurs on WordPress blogs and is a matter of a WordPress file called prototype.js not being compatible with Google Friend Connect JSON code. prototype.js (JavaScript file) is essential for WordPress sites to work correctly.

This step can be used this script and placed just above scriptcode from Google Friend Connect

<script>
window.JSON = {
parse: function(st){
return st.evalJSON();
},
stringify: function(obj){
return Object.toJSON(obj);
}
};
</script>

From Google themselves it of course is a JavaScript error and Google Friend Connect should work after this code addition before the gadget code in WordPress.  Thanks to Chris Lang who has been willing to share in solving this problem

If you are using WordPress as your blogging platform and you want to be able to keep a post on the front page for a longer period of time then there are a few different things that you can do. Having a post that stays on the front page for a longer period of time means that your main site URL will get the keyword love that the individual post is getting which may help you to get more website visitors. If you want your post to stay on the front page instead of being bumped to a post page then make sure that you follow these few simple steps.

One thing that you can do is change the number of posts that your blog will display on the blog pages. If you have your WordPress blog set up to show the posts on the front page instead of showing a static home page then you will want to make sure that you change the number of posts that are being displayed if you want more than ten. By default the number of posts that your blog is set to show on the homepage is ten. (more…)
