Sony enliven Tablets Android Market

Sony Android TabletSONY Android-Enchantment of Android seems to have no end, this time Sony is falling hearts and will be launching an Android-based tablet Honeycomb this year.

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sony, Sir Howard Stringer said Sony will release a tablet computer system based on Google’s Android Honeycomb at the end of the summer, but he did not provide any further explanation about SONY Android.

HewlettPackard back to challenge Apple with PalmPad

” HewlettPackard will present PalmPad, the tablet computer with operating system based WebOS in early next year..” said Todd Bradley, Head of Personal Systems Group, HewlettPackard.

Compared iPad, PalmPad have a more compact size that is 8.9 inches with a weight that is also lighter, which is only 0.56 pounds. In terms of equipment, PalmPad also features USB 3.0 connectivity, HDMI, and dual cameras (1.3 MP in front 3MP in behind).

“To increase sales of HP products Slate tablets and is one of the main reasons we bought the Palm” said Bradley, at a press conference the company’s financial performance, as quoted from Reghardware, December 22, 2010.

Bradley said, in the near future HP will be present in the tablet segment with Microsoft-based products, and products based on proprietary operating system that is WebOS. (more…)

Motorola teases new tablet.

Motorola today gave out a teaser video (below) for an introduction of its upcoming Android tablet at its CES event on January 5. The clip targeted competitors and considers the iPad a milestone, but digs at the Apple slate being “like a giant iPhone” in both a curse and a blessing.

Motorola doesn’t avoid attacking fellow Android supporters, however, and criticizes Samsung for using Android 2.2 on the Galaxy Tab: the device uses “Android OS… for a phone,” the promo said.

Very little is mentioned directly of the tablet itself, but the jab at Samsung is confirmation that the tablet on show will be the same one demonstrated by Andy Rubin. Android 3.0, or possibly just 2.4, will have a new interface designed explicitly for tablets. (more…)

Acer’s Iconia, latest and newest innovation of tablet technology from computer manufacturer- ACER, released to world market. Acer Iconia has dula touch-screen, it looked like a laptop but it seems feasible as a hybrid-tablet. has two 1366×768 capacitive touchscreens, one in the usual place and one where the keyboard would be. There is no traditional mouse or keyboard, because the second screen can function as a virtual keyboard for operated that Acer’s Iconia.
